On April 15, 2013 the city of Boston came under attack when the vicious bombings occurred at the Boston Marathon finish line. Military men and women, many of whom have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, who were taking part in the marathon sprung into action to aid the wounded. They were seeing the carnage of war on the home front. Since that day, Heather's deep faith has rededicated her life to raising awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder, to make sure the names of Fallen Heroes were not only seen but spoken aloud, remember the sacrifices of Gold Star Families, while giving thanks to those currently serving, our Veterans and First Responders.
One night in 2015, Heather woke up from a sound sleep and saw the vision uniting runners, ruckers/ walkers, cyclists and motorcycles together. The result became Stride and Ride Relay. The Relay started as a way to raise awareness about the significance of October 7, 2001, the day of the first deployment in the war on terror. The Relay is a 911-mile event that starts at the 9/11 Memorial at Boston’s Logan Airport and concludes at The Pentagon. Along the route, the Tactical Team stops at various memorials to pay tribute to those who have given their lives to protect our country. The Relay consists of running, cycling, motorcycle, and rucking stages. Along the route, the Tactical Team provides education about the sacrifices our service members and first responders make to ensure our safety and freedom
What Heather soon discovered was that in order to assist, honor and remember more individuals, she needed to formulate a
non-profit. The result became Give2Those.org which was derived from the Stride and Ride Relay.
Give2Those.org is a volunteer non-profit that seeks to provide vital assistance and support through Hands Up 4 Our Heroes. In addition to providing vital assistance and support, Give2Those also focuses on creating programs to help the well being of our Nation's Heroes, Honor the Fallen and to never forget the families left behind. We do so through Plaques of Honor, Thin Line Arrow Archery Program and to empower, encourage, support, and reconnect our Nation's Heroes and their families with themselves, each other, and their community through events and programs we host and ones that we take part in as a team in support of like minded organizations.
The brave response made by our military and first responders every single day is a reminder to Americans the invaluable service these courageous men and women provide to our communities, our nation and the world, now it's our turn to Give2Those who... Serve, Save, Protect and Sacrifice!

Hi my name is Alane Lavelle. I was born and raised in the New York / New Jersey area. Since I can remember I have tried in many ways to honor the members of my family who have served in the military and first responders but could never really figure out a way to completely ‘give back’. Then September 11, 2001 occurred and my deep love of our country and those who keep us safe every day took on new meaning. I’ve been searching for some time to find an organization that I can help give back to our military and first responders as well as their families while bringing awareness their needs especially the invisible wounds of war, both foreign and domestic. We need fight for awareness and get these brave men & women the help they need and deserve. I want to honor all who serve and have served. To honor my family members who served and continue to serve. I carry Sgt. Michael Ingram Jr., & Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Sullivan and their families who both served our country & paid the ultimate sacrifice
